People will get food and shelter for free only if they work free for 40 hours (in USA). So this will be the motivation for them to work. No work means no food and shelter. In USA all full time employees work for 40 hours a week. This number can change in future depending on how the MLE evolves.
The work is defined as any meaningful effort desired or required for the benefit of the society. Entertainments and sports will also be considered as work. Although many work types will vanish or become meaningless in MLE, but all facilities that will manufacture goods or provide services will be considered as meaningful work as long as the society needs them.
Many work, like research on the migration of monarch butterfly, which appears meaningless but funded now, will be considered as meaningful under MLE.
In MLE people will have tremendous surge of energy for work. Because they can now work on their own ideas, and on the jobs they really like. They can go to any factory anywhere in the world and start working there. The factory owner will not have any problems in hiring them, because the labor is free.
In fact unemployment is the greatest punishment in life. Nobody likes to sit idle. Everybody wants to contribute to the society. The MLE will give people the opportunity of their heart’s desire.

Anyway, requiring 40 hrs of work in order to have the privilege to buy and sell for free is little different from working 40 for money. If something costs X amount of $ now, under the new system it will cost a valid proof of work. A doctor is not going to consider it fair that a janitor can have all the same stuff he can. Ideally, it sounds good, but won’t translate into real life situations. Humans are habitually greedy and judgmental.
Btw, if all physics and math are wrong then judging the merits of the current money system as a failure because it violates the LOC is self contradictory.
I agree with you that the present economic models (insert -ism here) are flawed, and should be improved. I applaud your search for viable solutions that seek to end war and poverty.

Actually, I have shown that there is only one law of physics at this time – the law of conservation (LOC). All other laws like, Newton’s second and third laws, second law of thermodynamics, etc. can be either shown to be equivalent to LOC or can be derived from LOC. Under the present mindset of capitalism, it is very correct. But as I have mentioned under MLE, the mindset will change, truth will be exposed completely. Validity of everything under capitalism will be questioned and argued.
The book on soul theory actually answers this concern very thoroughly. Briefly, I can point out some complexities associated with your observation. Under capitalism a doctor makes money only when people become sick. So a doctor, sitting in his home, is continuously praying for everyone in town to become sick and remain sick. In this sense the doctor is an evil person. Moreover, there is no proof that the doctor saved the patient, because there was no proof that the patient would have died if had not contacted the doctor.
The book shows that reincarnation is a law of nature, and the nature gives proof of that fact. Then how do you know that the soul who is janitor now was not a highly skilled doctor in previous life, or maybe even a very well respected person in one of his past lives.
Everything in nature is like apples and oranges. You cannot say apple is good and orange is bad; cat is good and dog is bad; sun is good and moon is bad etc. Why then Mr. X is good and Mr. Y would be bad? It is the money power who created the good and bad words to exploit and control people. Many more things can be said, but you got the point – I suppose.

With technology, there is not enough work for everyone work for 40 hours. That’s is why there is unemployment, because not enough jobs are available in the economy to sustain more workers. Productivity will only continue to improve, thereby requiring less workers who will be able to produce more in less time. This is why the whole reward based economics needs to be abandoned.
In the system you describe, there will need to be huge amounts of control by government. If everybody can have a jet, everyone will want a jet. While this will increase the demand for jets, what incentive will jet makers have? If they can work 40 hours at any job and get everything, why work a high stress, physical job? There is no incentive for them to make everybody a jet.
In a free society. Jets will be produced to provide transportation to the community. Jets are for the common good not individual indulgence. Is this communism or socialism? Probably, but without the central powers administrating control. It is more organic and springs from the conscious needs of the community to travel freely. Much like a public work, they will make it.

You have written – “With technology, there is not enough work for everyone work for 40 hours.” That is not correct. We have lots of jobs – millions of jobs are there – from people do not have food to people cannot go to moon – we have to solve all these problems.
Only about 10% of the US patents get manufactured; 90% do not see the light of making them. Thus so many potential jobs cannot be created for the problems of capitalism.
At the same time you also write – “That’s is why there is unemployment, because not enough jobs are available in the economy to sustain more workers.” To understand why unemployment, why poverty, we have to go to the root cause of them. It is by design of the capitalism these things happen.
Poverty is created by the rich people. You can win only by making somebody else lose. There is no win-win situation; it is always win-lose. In every apparent win-win situation, a careful research will always show you a third party who will be the loser. Win-win violates the law of conservation of physics. Thus capitalism creates rich and poor both.
There was a time when Galileo was the only man who knew the truth – earth goes round the sun. All other people of the earth knew that sun goes round the earth. Things did not change much now. Only 1% knows the truth, 99% does not even know that they do not know. It is by design of the capitalism. All of physics and math are wrong, even the professors do not know that. Economics books do not tell you the truth.
